for Panama

Here is our evolving tips list for earthlings traveling through Panama˙ If you have something interesting to add to the list, post them in the comments˙ We’ll post the ones that are too true not to post and the ones that make us giggle a little˙

1˙ Panama is one of the only countries were you can see the Sun rising over the Pacific Ocean and setting in the Atlantic˙

2˙ Panama is one of our favorite places to go snorkeling˙ Go snorkeling on the Colon Island Hopping tour and swim with a variety of beautiful fish and exotic corals for around $25˙

With a name like Playa La Estrella, you would expect to see millions of starfish˙ Not˙ But the starfish you do see are beautiful˙ The beaches are lined with palm trees and the water is clear and inviting˙ So get over here and swim with the stars˙

3˙ The currency of Panama is the Balboa, it’s based on the US dollar, so you can use your bucks everywhere in Panama˙

4˙ Do you like it hot? Panama has some of the best tasting hot sauce I’ve ever tried˙

Bocas del Toro is one of the most popular destinations while in Panama˙ Nine beautiful islands, beaches everywhere to wade, snorkel and dive everyday˙

8˙ Although, we did not get the opportunity to go, everyone we met told us how amazing the San Blas Islands were˙ The word real paradise came up often. Google it!

9˙ Sitting at the bus station in David, you’re likely to see someone selling baby chicks for 50 cents˙

10˙ In Panama City, if you’d like, you can stay in a high rise, eat $5 ceviche and puff on a hookahs all night˙

11˙ Into the resort beach life, drive 2hrs away and visit the beaches on the Pacific Coast˙ Check out Santa Clara & Farrallón˙

12˙ Take a ride on the coolest public buses ever! The Panamanians have converted the old yellow school buses into Central American art˙ Buses covered in murals, graffiti, images of Jesus and neon lights˙ Interiors covered in bright colored leather and/or velvet and almost always playing the latest in Latin or Reggaeton music˙

13˙ and, if you’re wondering˙˙˙ we were not that interested in seeing the Panama Canal˙ But we heard it’s interesting. 😉
